Welcome to the frequently asked questions page, here you will find the questions I am asked the most. If you can't find the question you are looking for please don't hesitate to ask me and I will answer your question/s the best I can.


Q: How much are your puppies?

A: $1200 for full breeding right, $700 without papers


Q: How much is the deposit on a puppy?

A: The deposit is half of the price of the puppy. For example, if you want full breeding rights the deposit would be $600 and $350 without papers.


Q: Are the puppies AKC registered

A: Yes the puppies are AKC. 


Q: How many times are the puppies dewormed?

A: They are dewormed at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age.


Q: How many shots are given to the puppies?

A: They get their shots at 6 & 8 weeks of age.


Q: When do start potty training?

A: I start potty training after the puppies receive their first shot at 6 weeks of age.


Q: Are you willing to meet to pick up a puppy?

A: We will meet up 2 hours away from us. There is an additional fee for gas for anything past 2 hours. Gas fees depend on the distance we have to travel.


Q: Do you ship your puppies?

A: We do not ship puppies.


Q: How often should I put my puppy out potty?

A: When you first bring your puppy home he/she should be put out potty every 15-20 mins, after eating or drinking & after a nap. Please beware that dachshunds are very stubborn and you will need patience of steal. They will also forget everything they learned at around 4 months old and you will have to start potty training all over again.


Q: Will the puppies come with proof of vaccines and deworming information?

A: Yes they will come with a folder with all vaccines and dewormer meds received.


Q: Are the puppies crate trained?

A: Yes we crate train our puppies.


Q: Do the puppies sleep in dog beds?

A: When the puppies are weaned from and moved into their larger playpen they have a dog bed to sleep on.


Q: What type of toys are best for dachshunds?

A: Marrow filled bones (I get them at PetSmart), Nylabones and anything without stuffing, squeakers & crunchies.


Q: What puppy food do you feed the puppies?

A: I feed my puppies Hills Science Diet puppy food.


Q: Are the puppies vet checked?

A: Yes my puppies are seen by my vet.


Q: How many Dachshunds would you recommend having?

A: I would recommend 2 one each of the opposite sex.


Q: How do I keep my dachshund from injuring it's back?

A: Do your best to keep him/her from jumping. Get either ramps or stairs is the best way to keep them injury free.


Q: Do you ever have smooth coat puppies?

A: Yes, I have one smooth coat female.


Q: I am new to the breed and new to puppies what will I need for my new puppy?

A: You will want to get a good harness and collar, a leash,  food and water bowls, plenty of toys for the puppy to chew on, a dog bed, a crate,  food of your choice for the puppy to eat, age-appropriate flea and heartworm medication and shots as recommended by your vet.


Q: Do you have standard Dachshunds?

A: No I do not have standards, I breed mostly mini's and tweenies.


Q: What is a tweenie?

A: A tweenie is a Dachshund that weighs between 12 & 16 lbs.


Q: Do you have other breeds of dogs that you breed?

A: No I only breed Dachshunds.


Q: Are the parents on site?

A: Yes The parents of the puppies are on site.


Q: Can I come see the puppies before I make a decision?

A: Yes I encourage you to come see the puppies and if you decide to purchase a puppy I encourage you to visit the puppy as often as you can or would like.


Q: If I purchase a puppy as a pet but later decide I want to register the puppy can I do so?

A: Yes, if you decide later on you'd like to register your puppy we can do that. There is a Breeders fee of $150 to register the puppy for full rights. The fee must be paid before I register the puppy and the puppy must be under the age of 6 months old.


Q: How long have you been breeding?

A: I have been breeding dachshunds for i just started.


Q: What made you decide to breed Dachshunds?

A: I grew up with them and I always wanted them in my life and now I want everyone to know the joy I get from having dachshunds.
